T800 Gas & Smoke Analyser

The Trade Group launched their new Gas Analyser and Smoke Meter at Donington Park Motor Racing Circuit, to coincide with the start of the MechanEx Garage Equipment show on the 20th February.

The audience was able to time travel through the worlds largest collection of F1 racing cars and transport into the future with the Trade Group who believe they have created the first in the new generation of Gas Analysers and Smokemeters, marking a step change in performance, operation and looks.
Everything about the T800 is technically advanced and is designed to propel garage and workshop businesses into the future, with a major emphasis on saving time and money.

As Ian Gott, Trade Group spokesman explained. “Having researched the market and our large customer base, we developed the product design brief from what the market requested, including standard features our competitors add on as extras. We approached world leading diagnostics company The SPX Corporation and literally sat down with them and designed and created the Trademaster 800”.

Neil Pattemore SPX spokesman detailed the Trademaster T800 specification, “Not only quick, with a Basic Emission Test (BET) being completed in under two minutes, but visually stimulating, the results are displayed with truly stunning graphics, designed to guide the operator through the MOT test routine with ease and clear vision via the large 19” swivel flat screen monitor. The infra-red remote control, quite literally puts you in the driver’s seat, allowing the MOT tester to control the T800 with a minimum of effort and with maximum time saving. Furthermore, the Bluetooth communication for the smokemeter, engine speed and oil temperature are all supplied as standard, providing not only one man operation but a tidy working area”. “The Trademaster T800 is based on a Gas analyser and Smoke Meter measurement system with a proven track record to perform, day in, day out. Low maintenance filtration, self evacuating water trap, adjustable length exhaust probe – all illustrate the attention to detail that has gone into the design to ensure easy measurement and maintenance and all machines are factory tested prior to delivery. The new ergonomically designed and attractive trolley is both robust and practical; it houses and protects the advanced electronic equipment, including the computer and A4 colour printer, keeping the inevitable workshop dust and grime at bay”.

Ian Gott concluded, “We believe from start to finish, the Trademaster T800 will set the standard and looking into the future, the Bluetooth EOBD option which is available now, even ensures that future MOT testing is covered as well; and to provide peace of mind, Trade Group provide nationwide back up and a calibration service through their team of experienced, locally based, qualified engineers”.

Bristol Street Motors is a prime example of a forward looking company. As soon as they decided to move their Stoke on Trent Ford Dealership, they were straight onto garage equipment specialists The Trade Group to support their ambitious plans.

Trade Groups start to finish total management philosophy paid dividends, by involving the group when the architects develop the building plans, helped avoid all the workshop layout pitfalls, maximized the opportunity to choose the latest in garage equipment, removed the worry and necessity of coordinating several product and services suppliers during installation and provided peace of mind for the after fitment service plan.

Trade Group member Stefan Bullworthy explained their involvement. “With our reputation built on the vast amount of experience we have gained in garage projects both large and small, Bristol Street Motors gave us a clean canvass and a tight brief, we were asked to develop the workshop CAD plans in conjunction with the architects building plans. Not only is there a large capacity, multi bay, service area, featuring several Rotary two post lifts but also the latest Trademaster, MOT, Automated Test Lane, to the latest VOSA standards, a CV servicing area, a fully fitted tyre bay with the latest Hofmann Megaplan tyre changing and wheel balancing equipment, which also features a Rotary, in floor, scissor lift. We also supplied and installed all the site lubrication utilising Alentec Orion equipment, the compressed air system utilising Mark silent running compressors and also fitted Fumex fume extraction equipment for this very successful project”.

Stefan Bullworthy, who was responsible for the project, was amongst the many invited guests who were given a guided tour of this newest and most impressive Ford dealership at the recent grand opening, which was performed by Ford of Britain’s Sales Director, Nigel Sharp.

Hughes invest in Beaconsfield site

Wednesday, November 22nd, 2006

Hughes of Beaconsfield, who have been established on their Station Road site since 1955, are one of the most successful independent Mercedes dealerships in the country, employing over 180 people they are one of Beaconsfield’s biggest employers. With Hughes, success has bred success and because of this they have recently invested over a quarter of a million pounds in refitting and reorganising their workshops to maximise customer car throughput and car servicing area.Like many professional garages they called in Trade Group, the experts in garage equipment and services, to make recommendations. After liaising with Hughes management and the builders, Trade Group recommended the removal of all the existing two post lifts in exchange for the latest in car lifting technology, the Rotary Blitz In-Ground Lifts, which would enable Hughes to utilise six extra bays against using two post lifts. In-Ground lifts are the ultimate and offer the best attributes for customer car lifting equipment, minimum width work bays, maximum possible under vehicle access, tidy appearance, easy cleaning, low maintenance costs, quick operation, quietness and the reliability and long life of hydraulic operation.

Bullworthy, the Trade Group member for the area, developed all the computer aided plans for the garage and in conjunction with Hughes, co-ordinated all the building, lift installation and associated services work. The project plans were targeted at ensuring minimum disruption for customers and enabled the garage to keep operating by splitting all the building and installation work into four sections, thus keeping the maximum work shop availability during the refit and as a bonus the project was finished right on schedule.
